You enjoy the benefits and security of your job, but you feel like you could be of greater use to your community. I mean, your job pays your bills, and God knows we need that, but it doesn’t fulfill you. It doesn’t give you that sense of accomplishment or feeling that you’ve made a positive impact in the lives of others. You’ve become complacent and settled into a job that you go to day in and day out, but there’s more to life than that. There’s an emptiness on the inside of you, something that is calling you to reach outside of your comfort zone, but you push it down with excuses, doubt, and fear.
Maybe you’ve had the idea to write your testimony, speak to empower the youth or create your own conference. You have such a big heart and a desire to give back to others, but you get overwhelmed with all of the information that’s out there. You sincerely want to do good, but every time you try to start, you feel defeated. You just want to help people and not have to worry about all the aspects of it. You wonder why things can’t be easier when you genuinely have a sincere heart to do good?
Perhaps you’ve been through a rough patch in life that you feel as if no one would understand until you meet that person who has experienced the same thing you have. You connect. You tell them of your story of how you’ve experienced such tragedy but God! It was God that brought you through. Your story brings tears to their eyes and sets them on the path of healing. You then realize that you can do more. If more people hear your testimony, you can help more people to heal and become whole.
There is a calling upon your life to help people, but you’re not sure how, as you’re only one person. There is so much to do, and the thought alone overwhelms you. You keep telling God, “I don’t know how to…”, “God, I need…”, “Why me?” and you begin going into a self-defeating state. You toil back and forth, thinking clearly God must have made a mistake. But God didn’t make a mistake. God equips the people He calls, He doesn’t call the equipt.
Just like Moses. Moses gave excuses because he felt like he wasn’t good enough to do such a task. But God eliminated the excuses by sending Aaron to help Moses along the way. You don’t have to carry out the task alone. I am here to help you, whether that’s writing a book, becoming a speaker, or having your own conference.
Picture yourself sharing your testimony with hundreds of people, and once you finish, there is not a dry eye in the building. People are telling you how they didn’t know how or even if they would survive, but when they heard your testimony, they were inspired and grew hopefully.
Imagine receiving an email from someone across the globe about how the book you wrote helps bring a family that hasn’t spoken in three years together.
Think about your conference having a positive impact on our youth. If it wasn’t for your program, a young man would be in prison, but he’s not because he had caring role models to look up to.
